Tree stump and telegraph pole disposal
StumpsGlenfield Waste Services takes tree stumps and telegraph poles at Glenfield, weighed over the weighbridge and charged by the tonne with a minimum.
For arborists and excavation crews with butts and root balls too large for the green waste stream.
What we take
Accepted- Stumps over 300 mm across, with or without root ball
- Telegraph poles and large treated butts
- Oversized trunk sections
Branches, prunings and small timber are green waste, not stumps, and they are charged on a different line — the split is the 300 mm measurement, so measure across the cut face before you decide which load you are bringing.
What it costs
Weighbridge- Rate
- $450 / tonne
- Minimum
- $450 min
Weighed over the weighbridge and charged by the tonne, against a minimum for small loads.
Rates include GST.
Bringing it in
On the dayKnock the dirt off the root ball where you can — soil rides on the weighbridge as part of the load, so a clean stump is a cheaper stump. Chains or straps rather than a loose stack.
Mon–Fri 6:30am – 4:00pm · Closed weekends & public holidays. The last load of the day must be tipped and off the weighbridge by 4:00pm. Arrive with enough time to weigh in, tip and weigh out before then — the gate cannot take a load that would still be on the bridge at close.
Within opening hours — Mon–Fri, closed public holidays.
What we can never take
RefusedThese materials are never accepted, in any quantity. Some other streams are accepted only project by project rather than as walk-in loads, which is a different answer — the fee schedule sets out the terms for those.
- Putrescible waste (food)
- Hazardous waste
- Medical waste
- Liquid waste
- Dangerous goods (gas bottles and similar)
- Tyres
- Oils, paints and liquids
- Batteries
- Sawdust
