ReceivalGlenfield Waste Services receives clean excavated material at 2 Cambridge Avenue, Glenfield NSW 2167. Loads are arranged and approved in writing before they leave your site, and the material goes to rehabilitating the landform.
Written for civil contractors, excavation crews and haulage operators placing spoil. Loads charged at a published weighbridge rate are priced on the fee schedule.
What you can tip, and what it costs
What the yard can accept
Classification“Clean fill” is a plain-language term, not a legal classification. Material may be accepted as VENM, as ENM under the current resource recovery order and exemption, or as general solid waste (non-putrescible) under the EPA Waste Classification Guidelines — each load is classified on its own documentation.
A load is classified on the documentation that comes with it. Nothing is classified at the gate from what it looks like on the truck, and no classification carries over from a previous load off the same site.
- Sandstone
Clean sandstone, blocks or crushed, accepted for use in rehabilitation of the landform.
- Concrete
Clean concrete, free of reinforcement beyond ordinary bar, and free of any other waste stream.
- Excavated natural material
Arranged through the gatehouse before it arrives — the process is set out below.
Contaminated soil is not currently accepted. Acceptance of asbestos-contaminated and classified contaminated soils is temporarily suspended. Ring the gatehouse before arranging any soil load — do not load on the strength of an earlier booking.
Before the load moves
Pre-approvalEmail the material documentation to the gatehouse. Send it before the load leaves your site — a load is not classified at the gate from what it looks like.
A material report and written approval are needed before the load is tipped, whatever classification it is finally accepted under. It cannot be arranged when the truck is at the gate.
Before material is dispatched, the customer must provide: source address, material description and estimated volume, together with a final material or waste classification report for GWS review. Documentation should include: source area or site plan, relevant site history, sampling and laboratory results, and the material classification. Where applicable: a VENM declaration or the required ENM Resource Recovery Order and Exemption compliance documentation.
Review generally in 1–2 days. Material must not be dispatched until written acceptance has been provided by GWS.
What a load costs follows the stream it is booked to once the yard has accepted it, not the wording on its paperwork. Streams the fee schedule prices are charged at the published weighbridge rate. A stream the schedule does not price is quoted when the load is approved. Ask the gatehouse which applies to your material.
At the gate

The last load of the day must be tipped and off the weighbridge by 4:00pm. Arrive with enough time to weigh in, tip and weigh out before then — the gate cannot take a load that would still be on the bridge at close.
Weigh in on arrival, tip to the area the gatehouse directs you to, and weigh out. The docket records the net weight tipped, and the approval reference travels with the load.
