Three generations, one gate.

Glenfield Waste Services has been family-owned since the 1960s and has operated the Cambridge Avenue site for more than thirty years. Three generations have run the same gate.

The business is transitioning to a resource recovery centre. Clean material — sandstone, concrete and excavated natural material — comes in for use in rehabilitating the landform, and specified product goes back out to the civil and landscaping trade. That work is operating now, alongside the drive-in tipping the yard has always done.

What has not changed is how the place works. Every load crosses the weighbridge, every load is priced on what it actually weighs, and the docket you drive out with is the same one we keep.
